Motorola is scheduled to report Q4 results after the close, analysts are expecting EPS of $0.34 and revs of 10.46 bln. Here are what some analysts are expecting. Oppenhiemer is expecting 45.0 mln handsets shipped. The firm says initial reports from Sony (SNE), Ericsson (ERICY) and Samsung have generally been in line. Firm says investors appear to be optimistic regarding Motorola's 1Q06 outlook. They expect Motorola's 1Q06 guidance will be upbeat. 1Q06 should benefit from a full quarter's availability of the RAZR V3x, V3i, and V3c, as well as the SLVR. Firm believes that Motorola gained strength as 4Q unfolded, paced by the introduction of the pink RAZR at Carphone Warehouse and T-Mobile USA. The firm notes consumer demand for the pink RAZR and the PEBL U6 exceeded Motorola's expectations. Firm also says according to Mobile Today, Motorola enjoyed a market share of 25% in the UK during 4Q05... Kaufman says expect to meet or beat 4Q05, with favorable March quarter outlook.They look for 16% sequential growth in Mobile Devices division revs to $6.5 bln. The firm is maintaining their belief that 10%-15% operating margins are sustainable for leading vendors in the competitive handset business. They look for 4Q05 operating margins of 11.6% for the Mobile Devices division.
