Roger, I believe the buyers at this level are mostly dice-rollers, figuring that throwing another K or so at many shares is worth it for the upside chance (as you say, uncertainty). I cannot access that kind of information (who's buying) for the CDN, but thinking about it, even 50,000 shares at $.06 is only 3 grand. I think a lot of the buyers are probably retail (imo). - - - - - CGZ announced that they have halted drilling/exploration in Kazakhstan (attributing it to poor market conditions, including the price of AU), and are purporting to re-assess their Canadian properties. I think they are waiting to see a turn in current Kaz. 'negotiations'. They also announced they will not pay the current discretionary 1/4Ly dividend to preferred CGZ shareholders. Cash is tight. CGZ (& KGFC I assume) annual/special meeting September 25, 1997. Regards :>
