It might in fact be a real tap. I am in no position to judge. But do I trust the CIA? No. What credibility do they have? The agency who couldn't even predict the end of the Communism just weeks before the Berlin Wall collapsed, because Reagan/Bush made sure their men at the CIA pushed the agenda of the military industrial complex of the Soviet "threat" and the need for more "defense" spending (that has been documented). The agency that has been involved in drug running and scores of coups (documnented). The agency that plants stories in foriegn newspapers for propaganda purposes (also documented). Sorry, but anything the CIA says must be treated with extreme skepticism. Especially when their budgets and the whole intelligence/military complex budgets benefit from such scare mongering.

If you know anything about computers you know how easy it is to fake anything these days. Ever used one of those voice activated customer service interfaces when calling a company for customer service. Pretty amazing how the computer can recognize just about anything you say and interact with you like a person. Well, that technology can easily be used to produce a fake tape like Osama. Voice print matches?!? Piece of cake with computers. Besides, who is analyzing the tapes for authencity, any 3rd parties that are actually impartial? No, it is the CIA, an agency who clearly has an agenda, especially under Bush since he has put his henchmen in charge of the CIA. I find it funny how they authenticate these tapes in such a knee-jerk manner, almost as if by a schedule. Sorry, but trust and CIA do not belong in the same sentance. They are professional liars.
