Inflation is not the biggest problem with GDP, its hedonics and imputations IMO.

Hedonics = belief that things are cheaper and more expensive than they are(it can't be determined which).

Imputations = belief that things are not what they should be or are what they should be(can't be determined because otherwise would require explication)

That said, you are correct in that it is a factor.

I claim "it" isn't, and you can't argue to the contrary, because you don't know what "it" is. It can be any of the contradictory things the guy said, and that's why I know "it" isn't.
