Best time to go is August. Fly into Dublin and spend a week driving along the West to South coast al areas, Cork and more.

Great beaches for relaxing after you have checked out forts and old housings from the Iron Age 500BC thru 500AD.

Like "Dunbeg Fort", "Drombeg Stone Circle" (even older) and more.
You pass by where "Ryan's Daughter" was filmed and all over the place breath taking views - and some good Irish beer.

You understand how the great famine in the 19. century happened when a few frosty winters killed of the potato harvest and with it 100s of thousands of people. You get the hang of why you guys left Ireland for America!

With just a drop of Irish blood in your veins, count on falling in love with this place!
