Cary,

You're right, we left it at $112 plus several factors not included in the calculation of CYMI's price. Consistent with my conservative approach, I added less than 15% which, coincidently, takes CYMI's price to a double for me. I do expect to do better than double in the next 9 - 12 months.

I guess this is another stock where we'll just have to agree to disagree. Remember the ASYT thread you started, but never entered the stock. I do hope CYMI will be equally successful for me.

Best wishes,
Ian.

Factors not included in above influencing potential # of lasers:

1. Service / spares: I have no factual basis for estimating this. Rumours indicate that lasers fail more frequently than Hg lamps. Spares will be required to service an ever growing base of lasers.

2. Units: While at .25u, Cary is correct. Probably less than 1/2 the steppers will be DUV laser based. I believe the ratio will favour DUV lasers as processes move to .18u and .13u during the next decade.

3. Significant increase in unit and $ volume of chips used annually. Unit volume has been close to doubling annually recently while $ Volume of chips is doubling every 3-4 years.
Meanwhile the Semi equipment is not improving its efficiency at the same pace. More lasers will be necessary to produce those chips.

4. Additional uses of lasers. e.g. UTEK's PGILD tool uses a CYMI laser to precisely heat the exact 3-dimensional geography ...

Might there be another 1000 tools a year for non-lithography uses? I don't know.

5. PSR: ... It seems very conservative to me to expect that CYMI will command at least 4*sales at some point in or near the year 2000; or for that matter 2010.
