why do you doubt this? I know you are employed in an area (or live in an area) that is similar.

You can't get hired at Google unless you went to Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, MIT, Yale or a few other ivy league schools. If you went to Rice, or Duke etc. you can get in if you *know somebody*, and you have a track record, but thats the only way. If you went to Berkeley, it doesn't count UNLESS you graduated from the Berkeley engineering school or Mathematics.

Face it, there are 4K employees at Google - why wouldn't they have standards like this?

Don't you live in the DC area? How many people do you know- honestly- that have IQs under 150 would you say? I don't think I know many at all.
