I do not see how oil trading in Euros, british pounds, or YEN would change a thing.

It might cause problems if they attempted to trade oil in relation to YAP Island stones.

If Iran wants to hold zero assets in US$ it does not have to do so today. It can immediately take US$ and sell them for whatever it wants right now. I am sure anyone can get a price quite in Euros right now too if they want. The idea that it matters what the pricing unit is, is simply far fetched.

Where everyone holds reserves is another matter. But they can hold reserves in any currency they want right now. No diffence.
