Where's the hope? Try looking at the pipeline! This is a company with a very deep pipeline. A while back I said that IPIC should consider writing off Redux -- turns out I was right. Citicoline has been filed and is awaiting final approval. This stock will be a blockbuster and could contribute in '98. Secondly, Bucindolol is doing well and could be approved next year and marketed in '99. Pagoclone could be on the market in 2000 or 2001. Not to mention the nutrition side of the business (which I think is being marketed especially poorly...) and any "gravy" that comes out of Progenitor or TransCell. While I'm not going to go into my calculations here, IPIC is worth about $12/share with CITICOLINE ONLY! Add Bucindolol and Pagoclone and you have a range of $16-36. The variation in the range is caused by changing the assumptions of a) liklihood of approval and b) market penetration assuming approval. While I'm no longer holding IPIC stock, saying they are only worth $12/share or that they have no prospects is short-sighted and completely ignorant. On the basis of Citicoline alone, this stock/company could do extraordinarily well.
