I'm with you on crossing fingers - including toes, for that matter. I've been tinkering with my EPS model for a few weeks revising the numbers based on research reports [i.e., market growth, reach, page views, etc] & I see GOOG net revenue [net of TAC] at $1.450 billion.

Today's bloodbath froze me in my tracks but I'm a veteran of the 2000-2002 period and believe this is a temporary aberration and nothing more. We see this stuff at least once per quarter and, believe it or not, it will happen again. Today's action only served to scare away a lot of retail investors & if Paul were here I'm sure he'd substantiate this.

DOJ stuff, although perfectly timed with options expiration, is just a red herring & will blow over. Mind you you'd think Bush was in cahoots with the market makers on this one! Maybe it's part of his retirement package!

In the meantime, though, GOOG will wow Wall Street again this quarter and we will see $500 very soon.
