But, didn't independent counsel David M. Barrett's probe JUST END? Isn't it 2006 now? Hasn't the Bush II administration been in office for 5 years now? And, why wouldn't the Bush folks have a desire to help out Barrett's investigation of the Clinton years??????? So, what's Barrett's problem? Even if there was 'stonewalling' during the Clinton years, by Clinton Justice Department as he alleges... there should have been NO stonewalling for the past 5 years now. Sounds like PLENTY of time to investigate, and determine if there was a case to prosecute! And yet after --- what? 21 million dollars and nearly a decade's investigation? --- THIS is the best he can say: conceded that he was "not able to say with certainty whether any criminal laws were broken" by government officials.... WHERE'S THE BEEF!
