SeaView Q3 Sales Estimates 1400% Over 1999
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaView Video Technology Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SEVU - news; web.archive.org today announced preliminary estimates of 3rd Quarter sales over $3,000,000.00 -- an increase of nearly 1400% over Q3 1999 ($214,444.00). ``We're just getting started,'' indicated Christy Mutlu, General Sales Manager, ``and we expect 4th quarter to really make a statement.''

SeaView VP National Sales, Larry Hoffman, said the company has begun negotiating with CXC Marketing Inc. to represent both SeaView Marine and SecureView systems to U.S. military exchanges worldwide. ``Their only focus is PX and BX facilities within the Department of Defense, and they've been at it since 1962,'' he said. ``They expressed a big interest, and they contacted us. It just keeps leaping forward.''

The first VIC camera rolled off the line a week ahead of schedule, marking the start of the initial 100-unit production run. Teaming partner New Technology Management Inc., will use the unit for order-taking. Hoffman and CEO Rich McBride met with NTMI representatives last week. ``VIC is a new product but incorporates a lot of our proven technology,'' Hoffman said. ``Thus it can be delivered in quantity right away, and generates huge gross-sales dollars.''

CEO Rich McBride will return to Dallas next week for additional discussions with JCPenney. ``We're back to discuss an Internet relationship with them,'' McBride said. ``I can't say enough about the people we've been working with -- they're a great group, and very positive on our product line.''

Another new product, the IR floodlight, received acceptance from the U.S. Patent Office this week. ``It's a floodlight, similar in results to a regular incandescent flood,'' explained Mark Vosler, Systems Engineer. ``But the major difference is the output of 'white' infrared light. You can't see it, but our cameras can. They look just like our SecureView bulbs, and are built in the same housings. Think of it this way -- in a standard double floodlight socket, one SecureView plus one IR Flood equals a daylight view.''

SeaView debuts another SecureView product, POWER-CAM, today on the company's website (www.sevu.com). Designed to resemble common emergency- lighting units, Power-Cam substitutes infra-red floodlights and includes a concealed SecureView camera. ``Once they're mounted and connected to the electrical wiring, you're up and transmitting video, just like the light-bulb cameras,'' said J. R. Cox, VP New Products. ``The back-up lighting systems are required in all public buildings, so power-cam blends in anywhere. The housings are mass-produced by many vendors in the tens of thousands. And for us, the assembly is quite simple -- we're not squeezing everything into the light bulbs themselves.'' JCPenney Outlet Stores has ordered two units for each of their stores.

SALES PROJECTION STATEMENT FROM CEO RICH McBRIDE:

``I set a major goal of $46 million in sales for 2000. Delays in production may require a modification. We have no guidebook to follow, no sales trends that apply to this exclusive and unique technology. If we can achieve a million dollars a week in SecureView dealer/consumer sales, add in additional sales to schools, police departments, and the military, factor in VIC camera sales, and have a big Christmas season for our Marine Division, we may get close. In any event, it will be a banner year for a company whose total sales last year were just 1 million. I've also made the decision to increase the MSRP of the base SecureView system from $399 to $499. This will help us control demand, increase revenue, and allow for greater dealer margins.''
