Well, he's a little arrogant.

I can stand arrogance but he makes too many small errors which suggests he's a tad illiterate.

For example the recent remark about things being on tender hooks.

If you don't know the remark just don't refer to it.

It brings the Meg Ryan character in the movie "Bonfire of the Vanities" to mind. He often refers to cliches and he gets them wrong.

Generally, however, he knows what he is talking about.
