Iran's leader challenges Europe to take back Jews in Israel The guy's definitely a lunatic, but he makes a certain point in this. Israel simply would not exist if it weren't for a combination of Old European anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. The project would not have been likely to have gotten off the ground. And it's been a win-win-win-win situation for Europe. After getting caught with the Holocaust going down under their watch, Europeans get to atone for the "error" by giving Jews their own state. In the process, they manage to get rid of a bunch of "those people". They allow Israelis to carry out a little bit of the Crusades by proxy at no cost to Europe. And last but not least, they get to demonize Jews all over again, now that the Palestinian "refugee problem" has been a festering sore in everybody's faces. Could one have asked for a more brilliant bit of geopolitics ? You've got to hand it to those Europeans.
