You could very well be right. I'm not an ardent follower of Resource based, or Resource related, stocks myself. In my opinion, they can be very well managed companies etc.. etc.., but they are still very dependent on the price of their Resource, over which they have virtually no control.
If, for example, the price of oil falls through the floor, or there's an oil glut, they will definitely suffer. The same goes for gold, copper etc.. On the other hand, ALJ is a refiner, so it may be slightly less problematic for them.
But as you say, let's wait and see what their results have to say. That's when I, personally, make my own buying or selling decisions. |
