Well Bob Brinker, he of the disasterous trading recommendations (never, ever, ever trade or individually stock pick with Bob) thinks we're in a 20 year secular bear market after our 20 year secular bull market. Within that bear, we'll have cyclical bull markets but the end result is that in 2020 we'll be at the same S&P level we were 20 years ago. I don't remember if that's before or after the crash or if that matters that much. :) Buy gold and euros? Dunno. Maybe we should just dig really big holes in our backyards and buy gasoline and then bazookas to protect it from the coming peak oil crisis. :)
