BB, OT *** laptop processor vs power consumption

I'm looking at cheap laptops but would like to avoid those with the battery running empty after 1 1/2 hours. Have not found a source for this. Some manufacturers give battery time, most don't.

Is the processor the single most important item determining how long the battery lasts?

Is there a table somewhere comparing processor power consumption?

I'll use the laptop at home only, so recharging is not a problem, but only once a day would be nice.

TIA
Gottfried
