It wasn't the US. It was the UN that gave Israel the right to sovereignty. No, it was the US that pushed it through the UN. No one was very excited about the idea. The Brits tossed if off to the UN after WW II. It would have died had the Americans not run with the ball. At the exact same moment, they gave the Palestinians the same exact opportunity in the adjoining lands. But what did the Palestinians do? Hmmm........they lost roughly half their country to another ethnic group and you're surprised at their reaction? Give me a break. Well what does any self-respecting Muslim nowadays do?
