"The enormous gouging in 2000-2001 (which is proven by the way, including with some of the Enron perps taped planning how to cheat more) could not have accured without Bush-Cheney's cooperation and approval."

Well, I don't know what "accured" means, but the White House doesn't control California energy markets and had nothing to do with the flawed design of the state's deregulation scheme. The State of California did all that and, at the time, was headed by Democrat Gray Davis.

"since Bush-Cheney were first nominated, and the fix was in all the way"

Actually, oil prices fell 14% in the four weeks leading up to the 2000 GOP convention and rose again only at the start of the Democratic convention, rising 25% in the next seven weeks. They stayed high until the week of the Supreme Court's first decision against Gore and fell even more after their second decision and the Electoral College made it final.

So again it seems Bush's election was bad for oil prices while the prospects of a Gore presidency made them climb. Now, there's a logical reason for that, but it's probably beyond your grasp, so I'll not tax your faculties with it.

And as I said before, energy prices are up more recently (really only the last 18 months) because our economy is strong, China's is booming, and (more recently) supplies from the Gulf of Mexico were disrupted by hurricanes.

But thanks for sharing your fantasies, anyway. It's always a hoot.
