Regarding Linksys (and Cisco's new Mesh Networks company)- I think these are likely parts of the 4 part scheme. Cisco also recently gained and cross licensed new Wi-Fi & Wi-Max patents, so that may fit into the picture. No fridges, ranges, or washing machines there, I am sure.
