Jeff,
It is clear that a few people have figured out (from whatever means), that the OS count is considerably greater than 2.3b. The source of the information they possess makes them fairly certain this is the case. One can assume that others have this information also.

Now, if in fact someone were a paid tout, and at this point in time they were claiming that the OS was 2.3b instead of what it actually is, and they knowingly knew that the OS was much larger, would that tout/promoter be breaking the law in any way?

Just a question for discussion.
