Long term, the possible loss of reserve status is an issue for the US, but Iran in and of itself is not the key there.

Yes, reserve status is the key.
It will likely happen and it will likely be gradual.
There will be a shift away from US$ assets regardless of what the H the pricing unit is.

We simply did not go to war with Iraq because Iraq was about to price oil in Euros. We might have gone there to steal their oil or for other stupid reasons (or justified reasons if you so foolishly believe) but I doubt that reason was even in the top 50.

Damn happy to not be arguing for a change.
At least I hope we are not arguing.
