We dig it from the ground so it can be proven, transformed and/or transfered. -The problem with gold - when we have identified all we can find - and we need to increase the or decrease the money supply - how do we do that exactly? That is not a problem. If there is no more gold available, it will increase in value relative to other things. The market will take care of this adjustment.
