Ramsey,

I'm starting to worry about counter party risk on my personal investments too. I've been playing a possible housing bust with LEAP puts. But lately I'm wondering if I would ever be able to collect on these puts if there was a big crash. Exactly who are these guys who sold me 2008 LEND puts? Is anyone checking on their financial strength? Do they ever have to meet margin calls? Maybe us put buyers are the biggest suckers on wall street. If the market goes up we lose. If the market goes down, nobody will be there to pay our winnings.
