I hope you are wrong about the type of people who are being hired for law enforcement jobs. My brother in law applied for a guard position in a county jail. He took two weeks of training, started work, and then quit because the rules against appropriate treatment for incarcerated people were so severe that you could hardly defend yourself against be spat upon, having feces thrown at you, etc. He was the old guy in the applicant pool, and they couldn't believe his credit score because they had never seen one that high. He said the younger guys were ex-military or guys who wanted to get on as a street officer.
