For example, someone on the thread suggested that Google raised this DOJ thing from ashes -- highlighting the fact that MSN and Yahoo complied with the govt. request. I DID NOT suggest that goog raised this DOJ thing from the ashes. I was speculating that maybe GOOG chose to issue their PR saying "we're going to fight this", on the day of a pre-planned ABC news segment from the Googleplex. I don't know if the DOJ or GOOG were the ones to issue the first PR salvo in this but if it was GOOG, it was mighty convenient. Again I don't know though. I think the PR has worked to GOOGs advantage, personally.
