My guess is that it is most likely the board admins fault (no matter what it always is and if it isn’t is should be). Some overworked, underpaid, overfed(they companies usually supply them with unlimited soda's and pizzas, because most of them never get out and have no life, Also, most of them weigh over 300 pounds) Admin screwed something up (again) while mucking around trying to improve the "user experience" of the board. All these admins are the same. The poor fellow is probably in panic mode right now, because the backups are not working correctly (again). Don't feel sorry for em, next week they will all be drinking together yucking it up about how they crashed the system for the weekend. Disgusting lot if you ask me....
