Homeland Security Group International, Inc.'s Ballistics Division Adds Additional Testing Dates

Security Division Annouces New Contracts

DEL MAR, CA, Jan 23, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (OTC: HMSG), announced today that due to the large amount of composite samples the company has received from manufacturers, HMSG has scheduled additional test firing dates. All panels supplied to the company so far have met NIJ Level IIIA standard.

"During the initial phase of testing we fired at S-Glass, E-Glass and Spectra panels. We have received additional composite materials that we believe will withstand high velocity, high caliber rounds. We have also scheduled demolition ranges so we can test the ability of these materials to withstand fragmentation caused by improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Our focus continues to be on stopping 7.62 high velocity rifle rounds," commented Colonel Powers.

HMSG's Ballistic Division's focus is to find a lighter armor solution that will protect personnel from high velocity rounds without sacrificing efficiency caused by the increased weight of the currently fielded systems. HMSG is also conducting concurrent testing with other materials to increase survivability of wheeled and tracked vehicles.

HMSG's Security Division has announced new security contracts which include security escorts during the Grammy and Academy Awards. After successful security escorts during the Golden Globe Awards, HMSG Security Division has received numerous more requests for security escorts for the upcoming Hollywood awards shows. "We are going to be very busy over the next couple of months ensuring the security of some of the biggest names in Hollywood," commented Mark Wilson, Director of Security. "Our phone has been ringing every day for new contracts from publicists and managers."

Persons or Corporations desiring to contract for security should call Mark Wilson toll free at 800-544-7795.
