Iraq reminds me of Vietnam with one difference: whereas the Russians and Chinese were supplying arms to the North Vietnamese, the Russians and Chinese are not helping the Iraqi rebels with armaments and materiel.

It was hard for the Americans to tell friend from foe in Vietnam and worse, many a South Vietnamese was a two-timer. Ditto in Iraq, I believe!

It seems to me the US has got to find an honourable way out of Iraq, Vietnam style or even better!

History is replete with many instances of countries engaging in civil wars before they got down to the serious business of nation-building. Maybe a civil war is necessary in Iraq...................................... Just my opinion only.

The trouble with the US is that it is too involved with its business of always coming out on top of every other country forever, so much so that she is viewed with suspicion and distrust by many countries and, in turn the US becomes paranoid! BTW, it is believed that Bush is a nicey and naive sort of guy, but unfortunately he is being manipulated big-time..............
