Yes, that is the sort of thing I was talking about.

There are many standard deviates in La La land. They seem to have a tendency to drift west, where it gets harder and harder to make yourself understood. By the time you get to the fun coast, you are talking in sign language.

It seems they are signing stone in the far north. That was known about in 1980 with the adventures of C. Fipke who started out on his treck in the Mackenzie Mts.
He ended up trecking SE. C. Fip as he is affectionately known did some work in the South in the Koots. He found kimberlite in the mts, but not much stone. Selco was looking there panning for garnets in the streams. Not much luck. Circa 1982.
C. Fip made a 1000 page report on CDN diamond potential after his sojourn in BC. That started the long belated diamond rush that culminated in Lac Des Gras. I had a copy of the report at one time.
