All the Democrats need is one Red state in 2008 and they win the White House. Will that really be so hard with Bush flagging badly in many purple and even some red states?!? As far as taking Congress back this fall, gasoline prices are almost certain to go back to $3.00/gallon this summer, and that is without hurricanes. Just imagine how miffed the average American voter is going to be come November to have two years of $3.00/gallon gasoline?!? People can be as idealistic as they want about politics, but when their budget is taking a pounding from rising energy prices, they might just boot people out of office over pocket book issues. It is up to the Democrats to give people a reason to vote for them, like a serious plan for energy independence that will stabilize energy costs and save the average family and persons money.
