Tell Me A Story blogenlust.net <<...Enter Al Gore. Gore’s speech last week, if you missed it, was fucking-tears-in-my-eyes-awesome. He looked presidential, he spoke with conviction, and, best of all, he told a story. He told a story about how this Administration had overstepped its authority and how their actions were detrimental to everything this country has ever stood for. Gore was able to do what Democrats have not been able to do since September 11: Explain why this Administration is wrong while aspiring to something better. I hope Democrats all over the country were taking notes, because it’s that type of narrative we need to embrace and repeat over and over again until we retake Congress and win a national election. And, even though it’s early, I’m really pulling for a Gore candidacy in 2008. You take the story he told last week and combine it with the narrative of the Comeback Kid, and you’ve got yourself a compelling script for a presidential campaign...>>
