Is Gore running in 2008? That's news to me. I guess stranger things have happened. Nixon running in 1960 and 1968.

I think anyone the Democrats put up besides Hillary would walk away with the 2008 election. Hillary will make it close and interesting, when it really does not have to be. Unfortunately, it does appear that she controls the party at the moment and is the front runner for 08.

However, Hillary is a bright woman and a good campaigner. Perhaps she will surprise people. I do know a lot of woman who would get excited about a woman President.
