Some of the trajedies of the past 100 years could have been easily prevented if certain folks just took things more seriously and quit living with their head in the sand. Those in charge in this country are supposed to be more vigilant, but it's amazing how most aren't. Titanic sinking would have been no big deal if those in charge weren't so arrogant of the risks and provided correct number of lifeboats. (although my mom likes to collect titanic memorabilia) Likewise 9/11 would have been squashed if FAA simply implemented locking of cockpit doors. FBI/CIA knew of airplane/missile risk and they did nothing. they buried their heads in the sand
