Well, it would be one way that Republicans could get rid of some responsibility for Iraq. After all, Dumbya has no coattails and isn't running anyway. They could just cut him, DeLay, Frist et al loose and start fresh in 2008. It probably looks better to them than hanging on to the 'leader' as he goes down.
