07:21 TSM Preview: TSMC should report strong 4Q05 - Digitimes (9.82 ) Although Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will only announce its fourth quarter 2005 financial results on January 26, Digitimes reports observers are confident that the leading pure-play foundry should report a strong performance. TSMC should report a solid utilization rate of 105% with gross margins exceeding 50% for the fourth quarter of 2005. The foundry should also be able to maintain its strong performance through this quarter despite the traditional low season impact and the drop of working days in January.
