Re: There is tremendous research ongoing in every industrialized country's industry and academia It is one thing to come up with new theories of how advanced IC's should work, but another one entirely to come up with an idea that can be mass produced in a relatively short amount of time. Re: It makes no sense to waste resources developing outdated technology solutions that could be usurped by newer technologies and techniques. What processes can you name which have ever been wasteful? And do you honestly believe companies with billions to lose will knowingly do this?
