BTW, there was (is) an old thread here stared in the late 90s about how to profit from PIPE deals (they were called toxic convertibles back then). I thought really seriously about doing that, but for reasons I think made sense to me at the time did not (the analogy being that even if you know the secret behind three-card Monte, the odds of getting paid off are still slim). If people are good enough to know how to profit from pumped up stocks, no matter how crappy, I suppose that's a talent, albeit your shares might be bought by some poor old woman who got telemarketed or spammed and you have to live with that. What I don't like is when people are in on the game and pretend they are not.
