Are you sure about that. I thought they just wanted to make sure that new types of devices had piracy protection.

As for new devices, what new devices. Far be it for me to be cavalier about shortfalls in imagination, but I really can't imagine a new paradigm in new devices. Right now we have fair use for content acquired through the air, the wires, or from a digital medium, is stored on a digital medium, and is replayable. What else is there? Some new device that reads the mind and stores a video on a digital medium? Maybe, but who cares?
