For example you can't use music from Itunes on other MP3 players, or download and use protected music from other services on your Ipod. That's another matter entirely. That's technology and business competition between Apple and Microsoft. Beta/VCR redux. Not digital rights and fair use. Methinks we're having the follow-up discussion to our old Napster discussions. I paid for copyrighted music then and I pay for it now. I agree that the rights business is a nuisance. I still don't have all my music working since I got my new computer and finally had to move from Media Player 7 t 10. I'm finding that I have to re-rip everything I ripped from CDs I own. Pain in the butt and I wish that I didn't have to deal with it, but I disapprove of stealing. I think that the solution is to make all that work more smoothly. It may take a while to get the kinks out.
