S.Korea's Hynix says to invest $3.7 bln in 2006

SEOUL, Jan 25 (Reuters) - South Korea's Hynix Semiconductor Inc. (000660.KS: Quote, Profile, Research) , the world's second-biggest memory chip maker, said on Wednesday it planned to invest a total of 3.6 trillion won ($3.7 billion) in 2006 at home and abroad.

The company did not elaborate. ($1=975.5 Won)

Need to cross check with Kirk's capex table but at first glance that appears high compared to Samsung
