Don't get me wrong, I'm very bearish on housing. I just view the homebuilders as a very risky short at this point. Many of the charts such as Centex are still in longer term uptrends. The p/e's are about as depressed as you'll ever see. The short interest is sky high. Is there a potential for a fairly fast unraveling? Sure. There is also the potential that you're right on the fundamentals but aren't rewarded as quickly as you would like by the stock.
