I don't hold any hope for a real pop from short covering here. When the short interest ratio is less than one day at these volumes, I certainly expect some effect, because 13M shares is no small amount, But - not all short interest is naked, there are daytraders out there holding both sides. One would have to think that there are a few of them with the kind of volume and volatility we have seen recently.
