Your problem is that you like to come in right after some Muslim has done something obnoxious and ignore the history that lead up to the obnoxiousness.

During the 1980s, hundreds of thousands of Iranians died in part because we were supplying Saddam with weapons in his war with Iran which he started. During that time, we also did a blockade of Iranian ships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman in order to restrict their trade. If you were Iranian how would you feel about Americans?
