Really enjoyed reading about Jesse Livermore. One of the things that he mentions that I have done with success since I read his book is add on strength. I often start a position before there is any action, then when it b/o or moves up showing improvement I add. On the other hand, Jesse says not to add to a losing position for it means you didn't enter at the right time. That tip I've not followed. If I have a stock I like, I will average down as long as I don't feel the company is in big trouble. Most of the times with this method I come out okay, even if I tie up money that I could otherwise use in a more timely fashion.
