I don't believe that the State Department has any record of attacks in the US by them, and State considers them a palestinian-only political movement.

(Also quite fundamentalist, I believe.)

You might compare them to some of the Columbian radical groups. Although their philosophies are COMPLETELY different, they both are tightly focused on their own *regional* desires (kinda like the IRA was/is... but with less global reach or desire for world-wide action).
