As I said in another post, this doesn't make sense as CEF has among several advantages the tax advantage. The ETF will clearly reduce the premium but a significant one should remain.

It be will also interesting to watch how this will play out until the ETF becomes finally available. Silver will likely rise in anticipation, perhaps significantly so, and CEF therefore should benefit. In such a market, it is risky to leave early as a major move could be missed.

The best trade might be to short CEF and go long the nearest silver futures contract a few days in advance.
