Quoting the Inq makes me a hypester? Besides, given that the Inq talked about QC surfacing in Q106 last June or so, and mentioned a demo at CeBIT last month, and now AMD says they will be demoing quad core at the same time they intro Socket 1207 / Rev F (well known to be a CeBIT "intro" / April launch ), I'd think you'd give them a little more credit on this one. I question your unwarranted assumption that a 90nm non-production QC part would only be used for demo purposes. Consider that OEMs developing QC-based servers might like to have some samples well in advance of a product, and wouldn't much care if the final product was 65nm instead of 90nm. I would agree that no capacity constraint logic should apply, given the volume of QC parts needed.
