Yup, it's going to be interesting. Watch the Euros claim that now that Hamas has won an election, they are "moderates."

To which the obvious answer is, yeah, well Hitler won an election too.

But it's just possible that because of their new legitimacy, they might have to assume some responsibility for what happens in the territories, in the normal way of governments, even in Third World kleptocracies. It will be tough for them to claim that the anarchy in the streets or the missiles hitting Israel (& the Israeli counter-strikes) have nothing do with them, especially in Gaza.

On the other hand, they may turn out to be like the dog who caught the school bus and doesn't know what to do with it. In which case, they'll start another war.
