Highbury Financial Inc. completed its IPO on January 25, 2006, selling 6,733,333 million units at $6.00 per unit. The gross proceeds totaled $40,399,998, up slightly from the $36 million that the company was looking to raise when it filed its initial S-1 in early August. There is no word yet as to whether or not the underwriter has exercised its over-allotment option. The company is going to be focusing its acquisition efforts in the financial services sector.

The securities are listed on the OTC Bulletin Board. The units (HBRYU.OB) will begin trading today. The common shares (HBRY.OB) and warrants (HBRYW.O) will begin trading at a later date.
